Vampirism

"You have been bitten by a Vampire, and are slowly turning into a blood-sucking monster. Cure this disease, or succumb to it."
"You crave the blood of living creatures. Your strength and speed are unmatched, but your body is stagnant and cannot improve through training."
Vampirism can be contracted through two means: Being bitten by a Vampire, or drinking Vampiric Blood. After contraction, you immediately gain 2 points of Move Speed and lose 1 point of Strength. If caught before 4500 turns pass, you can visit a Doctor to cure this disease. If not cured in that time, you will become a full Vampire permanently.

Being a Vampire means you gain another 3 Move Speed, 4 Strength and 4 Dexterity. You also gain the ability to drain the blood of creatures, damaging them and causing bleeding, but also healing you. These huge bonuses come at a cost, however. As an undead creature, your body no longer improves. Limbs will no longer train with use, and you cannot gain Experience Points.

Leprosy

"You have contracted this vile disease. Your limbs will fall off one by one unless cured."
Leprosy causes limbs to fall off one by one over time. It can be acquired by:

  • Being struck by a Leper.
  • Eating Leprosic flesh.
  • Drinking Leprosic Blood.
  • Attaching a limb from a diseased one.

Upon contracting this disease, it will not "activate" for 4000 turns. Once it passes that threshold, there is a 1/200 chance every turn that a limb of yours will fall off. Once this has occurred, your Leprosy lays dormant for another 4000 turns. Body parts severed while you have this disease retain it.

Crystallization

"Your limbs slowly begin to be covered by a sort of crystal. Crystal limbs are less flexible but more resistant."
Crystallization hardens your limbs, boosting the affected parts' Defense. However, each time a limb gets covered by crystal, there is a 70% chance you will lose one point of Dexterity. Crystallization can be acquired randomly by using Crystal Teleporters found randomly throughout Axu. Upon contracting this disease, it will not "activate" for 2000 turns. Once it passes that threshold, there is a 1/200 chance every turn that another unaffected limb will be coated in crystal. Body parts severed while you have this disease will retain it.

Brain Rot

"Your brain function is slowly deteriorating over time."
Currently implemented, but with no means of contraction. Brain Rot causes your Intelligence to drain over time. After 4000 turns of contraction, you have 1/150 chance to lose one point of Intelligence every turn. Once a point is lost, another 4000 turns must pass before you can lose another.
